Developing Parent-Child Play for Deeper and Meaningful Connections
Finding time to play with our children just might be easier than you think! Playing with our children does not have to be structured or planned out. It can occur in micro-moments as we go about our everyday family life. It can give us a bridge to tackle challenging tricky transitions with them, and sometimes it can just be the antidote we all need to get through unavoidable daily demands.
In our ever-increasing digital world where children have access to online gaming and virtual connection with their peers, parents may be feeling a sense of loss related to building and sustaining (non-virtual) social and communicative connections with their children.
Why Assess For Autism AND ADHD?
We offer a combined autism and ADHD assessment and evaluation which we call the NeuroDivergent - Assessment & Evaluation or ND-AE for short. This assessment process aims to determine any neurodivergence that meets criteria for autism and/or ADHD. Our ND-AE package will detail your strengths and difficulties and provide recommendations. Knowing your personal strengths and how to support your needs may help to improve your daily functioning irrespective of diagnostic impressions. This is why our ND-AE package provides the best approach to understanding your neurodivergence.
Play the Neurodivergent Way
Differences may be seen in the way children approach play spaces, interact with their peers, manipulate play objects, attend to details, move their bodies, use language, and express their emotions. These differences are the result of divergent neurological pathways. Without this knowledge and understanding from the community our neurodivergent children may be at risk for teasing and bullying.
